Help get better broadband for Norfolk

Posted on Tuesday 17 January 2012
Churchgoers across the county can help to support their local communities by joining a campaign to get better broadband in Norfolk.

"Say Yes to Better Broadband" is a campaign jointly backed by the Norfolk County Council and the Eastern Daily Press to prove the demand which will tempt private investment to bolster the £30 million of public funding already secured to improve broadband across Norfolk.

Around 4,000 people have already registered their interest - but tens of thousands of responses are needed if the telecoms industry are to be convinced that it is worthwhile investing in this county.

Even those who already have a fast internet link are needed to sign up to support those who don't yet enjoy such access.

To sign up to the 'Better broadband in Norfolk' campaign visit www.sayyestobroadband.co.uk - and encourage others to do the same.

The Diocese, through WiSpire, is also looking to support rural communities with high-speed wireless broadband - for further details visit www.wispire.co.uk
