Rector for the Quidenham Group Benefice
Posted by Gordon Darley on Sunday 4 May 2008
Applications are invited for the post of Rector for six villages 20 SW of Norwich - Old Buckenham, New Buckenham, Banham, Eccles, Quidenham and Wilby.
There are three larger and three smaller parishes, each with their own identity, but working well together as a benefice. There is a lively pattern of services, predominantly central churchmanship, a lay Worship Leadership Team, as well as the Ordained Team which includes Ordained Local Ministers. Good links with local primary schools.
For some while there have been growing collaborative relationships with the neighbouring benefice of Guiltcross, and the local non-stipendiary curate serves in both benefices.
The PCCs are hoping for an energetic Rector who will
- Make known the Gospel of Christ throughout the benefice
- Promote collaborative ministry
- Have good pastoral ability, encouraging, energizing, visiting
- Enjoy the diversity and richness of the Liturgy and use this creatively to develop spiritual growth
- Encourage and support those who work with children, young people and their families in church, in the schools and in the community
- Be a good communicator and a good delegator.
