Youth worker, 6 Vill Youth in rural South Norfolk

Posted on Wednesday 3 September 2008
This is an initiative by the church, working in the community with full support of the County Youth work and Community Police team.

6 Vill Youth is a shared vision between the local churches, parish councils and local trusts in rural South Norfolk, covering the six parishes of Dickleburgh, Pulham Market, Pulham St Mary, Rushall, Starston and Thelveton.

We are seeking to recruit a full-time, qualified or part qualified, Youth Worker at Lead Youth Worker level ideally with VRQ3. The post is initially on a three year contract in the salary range of £18,000 - £20,000.

The person would be responsible for coordinating, organising, managing and actively participating in a programme of youth oriented work in all or some selected sites within the group of parishes.  It would involve setting up and developing projects to stimulate the social and educational needs of young people aged 10 to 18 years and integrate with any youth activity that is already operational.  The project has a medium term goal of owning and operating a youth bus.

Contact:  John Adlam for an application form and details of the project.
