Bishop in deep water for Africa
The Bishop of Norwich is to swap his mitre for a life jacket when he takes to the River Bure on Saturday 6th June to undertake a sponsored canoe for a Christian Aid project in West Africa.

The event starts at 10am at the Horstead Centre on Rectory Road in Horstead, and will finish (we hope) in Wroxham....

The Bishop will share the canoe with Melissa Ilboudo, a student at the UEA who comes from Burkina Faso in West Africa. All money raised will go to a group of seven churches in her home town where it will be used to set up wells and irrigation channels, introduce drought-resistant seeds and create solar drying panels so that the people there can grow and market mangoes.
