Back to Church Sunday is a national initiative to welcome back to church those who used to attend but, for whatever reason, do so no longer.
The national date is Sunday 28 September – but you can choose another date, or even have a “Back to Church Month” in a multi-parish benefice.
Back to Church Sunday can be as simple or as complicated as you like.
The summary and checklist
includes the names and contact details of members of the Diocesan Mission Support Team who are willing to help you with your planning.
The materials this year are the same as those used last year, with the addition of some extras. They are:
- A4 Posters
- A3 Posters
- A6 Invitation Cards
- Prayer Bookmarks
- Welcome T-Shirts (size 14 / 36” chest, or size 16 / 38” chest)
- Welcome Balloons
Please arrange for the materials to be collected from Diocesan House to save significant postage costs. If this is not possible, we can post them to you. They are not date specific.
To request materials complete the Registration and Order Form (Word document) and return it by e-mail, post or fax to Janet Guy (contact details on the form).
