Parish / Benefice Questionnaire 2012
It is a great encouragement to hear of the wide range of work with children, young people and families that is taking place across the Diocese today. I am always interested to learn more about this valuable ministry, especially in my role as chair of the Diocese of Norwich Youth and Children’s Forum, and to continue to support it in prayer.
I believe that the Diocese of Norwich is a significant provider of work with children and young people with parish activities such as confirmation groups, youth clubs, after-school clubs, choirs, worship groups, Sunday school groups, holiday clubs, camps and mission trips. There are also Fresh Expressions of church emerging through initiatives such as Messy Church or Café Church.
I do encourage you to complete this questionnaire, which should take only around 10 minutes of your time. It will be a vital tool in keeping the Diocese up to date of these areas of mission and ministry so that we can be better equipped to help you in your parish initiatives. It will also ensure that Bishop Graham can present an accurate picture of the true extent of our ministry in a period when there has been such a severe cut in statutory provision for young people.
To put it bluntly, we need you to tell us what’s going on so we can provide better focussed support!
