To identify principles to assist the Diocese 'to strive to safeguard the integrity of creation and sustain and renew the life of the earth'
We reaffirm the biblical vision of Creation as upheld by God the Father, redeemed by Christ and renewed by the Holy Spirit. We accept the responsibility God has given us to care for, conserve, and replenish God's earth. We recognise our interdependence with the rest of creation.
We wish to play our part in working for a sustainable society in a sustainable world, recognising the dignity and rights of all people, including future generations, ensuring the responsible use and recycling of natural resources, and working for economic reforms which will establish a just and fair trading system for all people throughout the world.
We therefore encourage each church member, parish, benefice, school, chaplaincy, board, forum and committee in the Diocese:
