Remembering your church in your will

Enabling church members to leave a gift in their will to your church

Part of the Diocese mission is the help parishes with their mission and ministry.  One part of that help is to give church leaders the information they need to help explain to church members how they can leave a gift in their will directly to their church.

The Diocese has developed and printed the leaflet below which we hope you will actively make available to your church members.  It is not selling anything - it is talking about why leaving a gift is worthwhile and beneficial for the growth and development of God's Kingdom and expresses practically how to put that thought into action.

Request leaflets for your church

Copies of the leaflet have been printed for churches to use, and you can request however many you need from Janet Guy on 01603 880853 or janet.guy@norwich.anglican.org

Telephone helpline

In addition, for those who don't have a local solicitor the Diocese have partnered with Heritage Will Writers, a Norfolk based company, who will provide an advice telephone helpline and write Wills for people (at a small cost) if they so wish.

We hope that this support will encourage church members to become actively involved in the idea of leaving a gift to their church.

The telephone number is 01603 894500 and you can read more about Heritage.

Evening seminars in January and February

We would like the opportunity to talk to PCC members about this whole idea of giving, and in particular the use of legacies and encouraging church members to leave a legacy after they have considered their family, their friends and their charities.

An evening seminar is being offered at six venues across the Diocese - find out more here.
