Urban Issues

As a Diocese we want to facilitate a wide network of projects, groups, churches and individuals working on relevant issues of concern to world, church and community

We also provide the link to the funding of projects that benefit poor communities or groups through the Church Urban Fund. The Urban Officer can assist applicants at all stages in preparing a proposal for funding as well as being the channel through which it is submitted.

We also want to support those working alongside the residents of the urban priority areas of this Diocese. To do this we have established a network of workers who meet from time to share experience from our communities and develop our thinking about urban issues as well as organising occasional conferences on topics of interest.

The Urban Officer is keen to meet anyone who would like to consult about any aspect of urban mission in their own context.
